Pre-Operative Instructions Nothing to eat or drink after midnight (the night) before surgery Have all lab work done at least one (1) week prior to surgery unless otherwise directed. Arrive 1 1/2 hours prior to surgery time (when the assistant calls you – she will give you the “arrival” time to the hospital) If you are taking aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) or any other medication (including vitamins or supplements) on a regular basis and did not indicate this on your previous paperwork, please alert your surgeon’s assistant. Your surgery will be authorized prior to your surgery date.  We make every effort to get approval, if for some unforeseen circumstances the surgery is not approved by your insurance carrier, you will be contacted and other arrangements will need to be made prior to surgery.
